Club Plus After School Club

What is Club Plus?

Club Plus is an after-school activity club providing enjoyable and stimulating activities in a well ordered and caring environment.

 

When is the Club run?

We hold two sessons each day during term time.  The first session is 3.10pm to 4.30pm and the second session is 4.30pm to 6.00pm.  Depending on available space, you can choose to send whether your child attends just the first session or both.

 

How much is each session?

Each session is £4.50 (at the current time of printing).

 

How many staff are at the Club?

A minimum of two, and often 4

 

 

What age range attends the Club?

Reception to Year 6

 

 

Can all children attend every session?

Reception children must be 5 and full-time.  Club + is then able to         offer two full sessions per week, unless otherwise arranged with a Club + member.

 

Is there a waiting list?

Yes, there is a waiting list.  Any available spaces are offered to children whose requests match the days and spaces available as they occur

  

Are there spaces every day?

There are a limited number of emergency spaces kept every day.  Please contact the Send First school office on 01483 223464 who will let you know if space is available.

 

If my child is at St Bedes, how will they get to the club?

The children meet in St Bedes school hall, where they will be collected and walked across the adjoining field by a Club Plus member of staff.

What fun things will my child do?

Arts and crafts, salt dough, theme nights, DVD film reviews, clay model making, playstation games, party nights, special events like Shrove Tuesday, St David's day, Chinese New Year.

 

What facilities are available?

Playground play, equipment, board games, arts and crafts, snack time, relaxing time, DVD, computer, books, music centre, construction toys.

 

Can my child attend another club and still come to Club Plus?

We do try to accommodate all children but you will need to contact Club Plus staff to confirm any details.

 

Can they have a drink/snack at Club Plus?

Yes, we have a snack/drink cupboard for parents wishing to provide snacks for their children. We ask you to provide this in a named carrier bag.

 

Can my child do their homework at Club Plus?

Yes, and are encouraged to use adult help, the computer and any other resources we have available.

  

 

What happens if my child needs medical assistance?

The children are allowed to self-administer Ventolin inhalers but staff are unable to administer any medicines.

 

 

What payment methods are available?

Several voucher schemes are in place or cheque termly in advance.  Unless otherwise agreed with Club Plus staff.
